This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various aspects of dentistry.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Prepare surgical rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
Take X-rays and scans as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing systems such as DentiMax.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Provide support in periodontal dentistry, ensuring a welcoming environment for all patients.
Assist with implant procedures by preparing materials and instruments as required.
Perform medical coding for insurance purposes, ensuring accuracy in billing processes.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance overall patient experience and satisfaction.
Requirements
Previous experience in dentistry is preferred; familiarity with surgical dentistry is a plus.
Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Experience with dental software systems such as DentiMax is highly desirable.
Understanding of periodontic and dental coding practices is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
