Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Periodontist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing periodontal (gum) diseases, as well as performing complex periodontal procedures. Your expertise will help improve patients’ oral health and overall well-being through comprehensive periodontal care. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans for periodontal health.
Perform advanced periodontal procedures such as gum surgeries, tissue grafts, and laser therapies with precision and care.
Manage complex cases involving dental implants, bone grafting, and other reconstructive procedures to restore oral function.
Collaborate closely with general dentists, oral surgeons, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental office standards.
Educate patients on periodontal disease prevention, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to promote long-term health.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures.
Utilize dental imaging technology and anatomy knowledge to diagnose conditions effectively and plan appropriate interventions.
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of specialized training or residency in periodontics.
Valid state licensure to practice dentistry with a focus on periodontics.
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical records management.
Experience with dental software such as Dentrix is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a dental setting.
Demonstrated expertise in dental periodontics .
Familiarity with dental fabrication processes and medical imaging tools used in periodontal diagnosis.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to optimize patient comfort and clinical outcomes.
