Job Description
Join Our Brand-New Practice & Exceptional Team!
Serenity Grove Dental opened its doors in January 2025 in Wellington, FL, and we are building something truly special. Our mission is to deliver exceptional dental care in a spa-like, patient-centered environment where comfort, trust, and long-term health come first.
We are seeking a high-caliber, patient-focused Periodontist to join our growing private practice on a part-time basis: 1 day per month initially. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist who values clinical excellence, ethical care, and collaborative teamwork in a modern, non-corporate setting.
If you are looking for a long-term professional home where you can practice periodontics the right way — without pressure or volume-driven dentistry — we would love to meet you.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
Modern, spa-like office: Brand-new facility with state-of-the-art technology, digital systems, and a calm, boutique atmosphere
Patient-centered philosophy: Emphasis on comfort, education, and long-term periodontal health — never high-pressure sales
Supportive team culture: Collaborative, respectful, and positive environment — we genuinely enjoy working together
Clinical autonomy: Practice evidence-based periodontics with adequate time for diagnosis, planning, and treatment
Growth opportunity: Increasing specialty demand as the practice expands; opportunity to shape periodontal protocols and services
Community involvement: Opportunities to participate in local outreach, wellness events, and community engagement in Wellington and South Florida
Position Overview
The Periodontist will provide comprehensive periodontal and implant care while collaborating closely with the general dentist, hygiene team, and clinical staff. This role is ideal for a specialist who values patient relationships, education, and long-term outcomes.
You will play a key role in helping Serenity Grove Dental expand its specialty services and elevate the overall patient experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive periodontal evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
Provide high-quality periodontal and implant services, including:
Non-surgical periodontal therapy and maintenance planning
Surgical periodontal procedures
Dental implant placement and related surgical procedures
Bone grafting, sinus lifts, and soft tissue grafting (as clinically appropriate)
Collaborate with the hygiene team on periodontal therapy protocols and patient education
Clearly present diagnoses and treatment options, helping patients make informed decisions
Maintain detailed, timely clinical documentation in the practice management software
Review and update medical histories and assess systemic health considerations
Order, review, and interpret digital radiographs, CBCT scans, and intraoral images
Adhere to Florida Board of Dentistry regulations, OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards
Contribute to a positive, professional, and respectful team environment
Participate in protocol development and quality improvement as the practice grows
Provide nitrous oxide and/or sedation services in compliance with Florida permits (if applicable)
Required Qualifications
DDS or DMD from an accredited U.S. dental school
Completion of an accredited Periodontics residency program
Active, unrestricted Florida dental license in good standing
Board eligibility or board certification in Periodontology
Eligibility to work in the United States
Current CPR/BLS certification
DEA registration (or eligibility) in Florida
Strong clinical skills with a patient-first, ethical approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with digital practice management systems (OpenDental a plus)
Digital radiography, intraoral scanners, and CBCT imaging
Implant restorative collaboration and interdisciplinary treatment planning
Experience in private practice or boutique clinical settings
Work Schedule
Part-time (1 day per month)
Specific days to be determined based on patient demand and availability
Opportunity to expand specialty days as the practice continues to grow
Benefits Package
Competitive, experience-based compensation (discussed during interview)
Dental benefits
Paid orientation and onboarding
Supportive, no-drama team culture
Free parking and convenient Wellington location
Opportunities for continuing education and professional development
Potential for increased days, leadership involvement, and specialty growth
