Periodontist

Fresh Smiles Dental is looking for an experienced and caring Periodontist to join our team.

We are a busy, established dental practice looking for a specialist who is confident in periodontal treatment, implant placement, and surgical procedures. We are looking for someone who communicates well with patients and works closely with our general dentists to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose periodontal conditions
Perform periodontal consultations and develop treatment plans
Perform periodontal surgeries and related procedures
Place dental implants
Perform bone grafting and other implant-related procedures as appropriate
Provide scaling and root planing recommendations and periodontal maintenance plans
Review X-rays and other diagnostic records
Educate patients about periodontal disease, treatment options, and home care
Coordinate treatment with our general dentists and other specialists
Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation
Follow all infection control, HIPAA, and New York State requirements
Qualifications
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Certificate or advanced training in Periodontics
Active New York State dental license
Experience with periodontal surgery and implant placement
Strong clinical judgment and treatment-planning skills
Professional and comfortable communicating with patients and staff
Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
