Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Periodontist to join our dental practice. Competitive pay, flexible schedule-1 day weekly or biweekly. Will pay for Rhode Island licensure. The ideal candidtate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and a thorough understanding of periodontal diseases and treatments. This role involves diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. The Periodontist will work collaboratively with our dental team to provide comprehensive care in a supportive environment. Responsibilties
Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose periodontal conditions.
Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Perform dental implants, osseous surgery, crown lengthening, basic scaling and root planing, and other surgical procedures as necessary.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, using Carestream.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of periodontal health.
Stay updated on advancements in periodontics and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited residency program in periodontics.
Valid state dental license and board certification in periodontics.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within a busy dental clinic setting.
Knowledge of current best practices in periodontal treatmnet and patient management.
