Job Overview
Our hygienist recently had a baby and wants to work part time. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our vibrant dental team part time or full time. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental hygiene services, assisting with dental procedures, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry, infection control, and dental documentation will contribute to delivering top-quality oral health care. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for patients of all ages
Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques
Monitor vital signs and assess patient health status before, during, and after treatment to ensure safety and well-being
Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions with clear communication
Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control protocols, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials
Skills
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation review and medical coding
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures
Experience working with pediatric patients in pediatric dentistry settings is highly preferred
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and provide compassionate support
Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging techniques
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
