Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. As an RDA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring a smooth and efficient office environment. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with excellent communication skills, will help create a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization standards are met
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic or Dentrix
Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions
Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments with the front desk team
Support orthodontic procedures by taking impressions, adjusting appliances, and providing patient instructions
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment at all times
Assist with pediatrics-specific procedures when needed, ensuring gentle and compassionate care
Requirements
Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification in accordance with state regulations
Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Opendental for record-keeping and scheduling
Experience working in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practice
Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and sterilization procedures
Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools used for orthodontic appliances is a plus
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
