Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) specializing in pediatric and general dentistry. Duties
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management protocols.
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and radiation safety guidelines.
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations.
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to enhance understanding.
Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and medical records with precision.
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or oral surgery procedures.
Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, infection control practices, and aseptic technique is essential.
Familiarity with dental equipment such as 3D scanners, digital radiography systems, and patient management software is advantageous.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and healthcare infection prevention standards will support your success in this role.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient files efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies are required.
Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is mandatory; additional certifications in medical imaging or infection control are a plus.
