Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as an Experienced Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a welcoming, efficient environment. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal patient comfort.
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
Take and develop high-quality X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic efficiently for accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding.
Perform chairside assisting with vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and ensuring patients are comfortable throughout their visit.
Support front desk operations by coordinating with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow seamlessly.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functioning properly.
Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to facilitate clear communication within the team.
Experience
Proven experience as a dental assistant or RDA in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to medical records and patient confidentiality.
Skilled in performing X-ray procedures and utilizing modern dental imaging technology including 3D scanners.
Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes.
Experience supporting pediatric dentistry is advantageous; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is a plus.
