```Duties```:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are ready
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Prepare materials for making impressions and restorations
- Assist in the administration of anesthesia to patients
- Perform office management tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
```Experience```:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Familiarity with OpenDental software is a plus
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Proficient in taking and recording vital signs
- Skilled in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting, instrument passing, and suctioning
- Ability to accurately complete medical documentation and maintain patient records
- Experience with medical imaging, including digital x-rays
- Knowledge of dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
