We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant to support our team in delivering exceptional patient care. As a vital member of our team, you will assist with clinical procedures, ensure strict infection control, and provide outstanding patient management. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management policies.
Assist the dentist during periodontal procedures, dental implant placements, oral surgeries, and other clinical treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Take dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and image quality while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems in Dentrix, documenting treatment details and medical histories precisely.
Monitor vital signs and medical documentation as needed to support safe treatment planning for patients with complex health conditions.
Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment options while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Support the dental reception team by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments using patient management software, and ensuring a smooth clinic experience for all visitors.
Experience
Proven experience working as an RDA or dental assistant in a busy dental clinic setting, preferably within a periodontal or implant specialty practice.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient documentation and patient record management.
Knowledge of dental terminology, instrumentation, sterilization procedures, and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
Hands-on experience assisting with oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry (a plus), and general dentistry procedures.
Ability to operate dental equipment including dental x-ray machines, and medical imaging tools confidently.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures and medical terminology necessary for accurate clinical communication.
Excellent patient care skills combined with professionalism in maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
