About the Role:
Daryl L Proctor DDS Dental Corporation is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic RDA Orthodontic Assistant to join our dedicated dental team in Placerville, CA. Responsibilities:
Assist the orthodontist chairside during orthodontic procedures, including bonding, banding, and wire adjustments
Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and Scans for orthodontic records
Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, compliant treatment area
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
Place and remove orthodontic brackets, archwires, ligatures, and elastics under doctor supervision
Document patient records accurately and update treatment charts in dental software
Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure a comfortable, positive experience
Requirements:
Valid California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required
Prior orthodontic assisting experience helpful but not necessary
Current X-ray certification and knowledge of infection control protocols
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients of all ages
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused dental environment
