Responsibilities
Assist dentists with various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and dental supplies while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards
Take and develop X-ray images using digital imaging systems such as Open Dental, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems like Epic or Dentrix, including updating medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes
Provide chairside support during procedures by handling dental instruments efficiently and ensuring proper dental terminology communication
Perform medical imaging tasks such as 3D scanning when applicable, supporting comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness
Qualifications
Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with current certification in infection control and aseptic technique
Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, preferably with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Familiarity with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and vital signs monitoring
Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
