Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dynamic dental team. The RDH will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting the dental team, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for promoting oral health. Bilingual skills and experience with pediatric patients are a plus, as is familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix. Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain optimal oral health of patients.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including taking radiographs and applying topical anesthetics.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.
Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Support orthodontic treatments when applicable, including patient education on appliance care.
Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients and address their specific dental needs.
Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient office operations and excellent patient service.
Experience
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred; experience with dental assisting or customer service is advantageous.
Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a professional environment.
Pay: $60.00-$75.00 per hour
