Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and dental examinations.
Conduct professional cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring proper radiation safety protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
Assist with chairside procedures such as dental assisting, including passing instruments and managing patient comfort.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with the dental team on treatment planning, documentation review, and medical coding for billing purposes.
Support general dentistry procedures by providing patient care that emphasizes comfort, safety, and education.
Uphold all healthcare infection prevention and control standards while managing dental equipment and sterilization processes.
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in dental terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and medical records management.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medical imaging, and dental x-ray techniques.
Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental care and hygiene practices.
Ability to perform chairside assisting duties seamlessly during various dental procedures.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus for supporting young patients’ oral health needs.
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance management to ensure patient privacy is maintained at all times.
