Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical records securely.
Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical coding for billing purposes when necessary.
Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality patient care in a pediatric dentistry setting or general dentistry practice focused on comprehensive oral health services.
Experience
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
Proven experience working in dental offices or clinics with familiarity using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
Experience with chairside assisting and patient care in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and documentation review processes is essential.
Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs assessment and support patient assessment procedures effectively.
