Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a flexible and innovative setting. This position offers the opportunity to infection control, and dental hygiene procedures. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health assessments, patient education, and preventive care to promote optimal dental health. This role emphasizes a proactive approach to patient care, emphasizing safety, comfort, and education in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, medical history review, and dental examinations to determine treatment needs.
Deliver preventive dental services such as prophylaxis (cleanings), fluoride treatments, and sealants, and SDF.
Take X-rays) and photos.
Manage electronic dental records ensuring documentation review and proper coding of procedures for billing purposes.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and the importance of regular dental visits to foster lifelong healthy habits.
Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control standards, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all medical records and patient information.
Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with certification in alternative practice settings.
Proven experience in dental office environments.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with team members.
