Job Description
Position Overview:
The Nipigon District Family Health Team is seeking a friendly, organized and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for our patients and community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and community members
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and support EMR documentation
Provide administrative and clerical support to the healthcare team
Promote a positive, welcoming, and respectful patient experience
Qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, Medical Office Administration, or equivalent experience preferred
Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is an asset
Proficiency with EMR systems and standard office software
Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment
Valid driver's license and satisfactory OPP Vulnerable Sector Check
