Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented administrative assistant to join our State of the Art dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient experiences by managing administrative tasks, coordinating dental care, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in dental software systems, and a solid understanding of dental terminology and coding. It is a fast paced environment with attention to detail needed.
Duties
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent patient service and addressing inquiries with professionalism.
Manage patient scheduling, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely appointments.
Verify dental insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related questions.
Maintain accurate dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Conduct intake assessments with new patients and review insurance coverage with patient.
Handle dental insurance billing and collections.
Assist in the review of documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Confirm schedules daily
Requirements
Previous experience in a dental office is a plus.
Familiarity with dental terminology, insurance verification processes, and health information management.
Proficiency in using open dental is advantageous.
Strong computer skills
Strong communication skills.
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities to enhance patient interactions.
