Receptionist

Job Responsibilities
Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.

Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, services, and office policies.

Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software.

Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility before appointments.

Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate records.

Collect payments, process billing transactions, and provide receipts.

Prepare and maintain patient files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.

Coordinate with dentists, hygienists, and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.

Handle insurance claims, pre-authorizations, and follow up on outstanding claims when required.

Manage recall systems and contact patients regarding upcoming or overdue appointments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.

Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Order and maintain office supplies and reception materials as needed.

Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, data entry, and correspondence.

Ensure excellent customer service to create a positive patient experience and encourage patient retention.
