Upper Extremity ATX is an independent, physician-owned surgical practice in Austin, TX, built on one guiding principle: Better care, by design. Founded by Dr. Travis Doering — a fellowship-trained hand, upper extremity, and peripheral nerve surgeon — our practice is dedicated to advanced, personalized surgical care for patients throughout Central Texas.

The Role
We're looking for a warm, dependable Receptionist to be the first face and voice our patients meet. This is a front-of-house role, and it is the heart of how our practice feels to the people who walk through the door. If you're the kind of person who remembers a patient's name on their second visit, we want to meet you.

What You'll Do
Greet patients and visitors and make them feel looked after
Answer and route incoming calls and take clear messages
Manage check-in and check-out, including ID and insurance card verification
Collect co-pays and process patient payments
Prepare and organize intake forms, consents, and charts
Keep patient flow moving between the waiting room, exam rooms, and providers
Keep the front office and waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming
Handle incoming mail, supply orders, and other light office administration
What We're Looking For
Front desk, reception, or customer-facing experience — medical office a plus but not required
A warm, unhurried manner on the phone and in person
Comfortable learning computer and EHR systems (we use Tebra/Zoom/Google Workspace)
Organized and dependable, able to juggle a busy front desk without losing the thread
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
