Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental team, and ensure smooth clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on delivering high-quality dental services across various specialties, including pediatrics and orthodontics. Experience with dental software is highly valued, along with proficiency in dental assisting procedures and medical terminology.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly.
Take dental radiographs (CAD experience preferred).
Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices.
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix.
Support administrative tasks as needed, including checking in patients as a dental receptionist.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
Assist with the fabrication of dental appliances or models when necessary.
Skills
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures.
Familiarity with dental software .
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry practices.
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Ability to operate CAD systems for dental modeling or imaging tasks.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification or licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant is required.
