Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
Take and develop dental x-rays while maintaining proper aseptic technique and ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are followed
Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding
Monitor vital signs and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout treatment
Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments and adhering to infection control standards in accordance with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise
Requirements
Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification in accordance with state regulations
Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, including general dentistry.

Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental x-ray techniques
Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control policies
Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety; experience with 3D scanners is a plus
Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; ability to explain procedures clearly and maintain professional rapport with patients of all ages
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with privacy standards; commitment to clinical confidentiality policies
Open Dental Experience a plus

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
