Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your energy and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control standards.
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Dentrix and Eaglesoft efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation of medical and dental histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient well-being before, during, and after procedures; record findings meticulously in medical documentation.
Support administrative tasks including answering the dental receptionist phone line, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining organized medical records.
Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and medical terminology to facilitate clear communication within the team and with patients.
Collaborate seamlessly with team members through four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry strongly valued.
Proven ability to operate EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and proper use of dental radiography equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
Strong understanding of dental assisting practices including chairside assisting, taking vital signs, medical imaging procedures, and maintaining sterile environments.
