Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional dental services. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure a smooth clinical workflow. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures.
Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Take and develop dental x-rays, including dental x-ray imaging and 3D scans, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and clinical confidentiality policies.
Manage patient flow by updating medical records, documenting medical documentation accurately, and utilizing patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures tailored for pediatric dentistry when applicable.
Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, answering patient inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication within the clinic.
Skills
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical procedures related to general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or oral surgery.
Experience with dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools.
Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices.
Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to sterilization standards.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward pediatric patients and those requiring specialized treatments like endodontics or prosthodontics.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and medical documentation standards necessary for accurate record keeping.
