Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic, providing exceptional support to both the dental team and patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and readily available.
Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
Take and develop medical imaging as required, including X-rays, while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Manage patient records using Dentrix and Dexis software, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate medical histories.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating with the dental receptionist.
Stay updated on medical terminology and dental assisting best practices to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred
Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry is highly desirable.
Experience with Dentrix and Dexis dental management software is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a friendly and professional manner.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
