Registered Dental Assistant

Anderson Family Dentistry is seeking a dependable and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing general dental practice.

We are looking for an assistant who is organized, efficient, and able to stay ahead of the schedule. This position requires someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, works well with multiple providers and team members, and recognizes what needs to be done without waiting to be directed throughout the day.

Responsibilities
Assist doctors with general and restorative dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to procedures
Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day
Anticipate provider needs during procedures
Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs
Take impressions and perform other RDA duties within California scope of practice
Maintain proper infection-control and sterilization procedures
Turn over and prepare treatment rooms efficiently
Review the upcoming schedule and prepare for procedures in advance
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with completion of required records
Ensure completed treatment is accurately communicated for checkout
Help ensure necessary follow-up appointments are identified before the patient leaves
Monitor clinical supplies and communicate when items need to be ordered
Assist with laboratory cases and related documentation
Provide patients with appropriate pre- and post-operative instructions
Support other assistants and providers when additional help is needed
Follow established clinical protocols and office systems
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment

Qualifications
Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Required California certifications appropriate to RDA scope of practice
Knowledge of infection-control and sterilization requirements
General dentistry experience preferred but willing to train
Experience with digital radiographs and dental software preferred
Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage isdepending on experience, qualifications, and skill level.

This position includes an initial 90-day probationary period. During this period, performance will be evaluated based on attendance, reliability, clinical skills, efficiency, communication, initiative, ability to follow office systems, and overall performance of assigned responsibilities.

Eligible benefits are available following successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.

Pay: $20.00 - $33.00 per hour
