Registered Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. This will be a part time position 2-3 days a week, with potential to be full time. Candidate must be able to work evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software Akitu One, as well as familiarity with Implants, orthodontics, pediatrics, and dental assisting procedures, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various procedures, including Implants, orthodontic and pediatric treatments
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments and ensure all necessary supplies are available
Take dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
Provide patient education on dental hygiene and post-treatment care
Manage patient records accurately using Akitu One software systems
Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns
Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and medical terminology standards
Contribute to office organization and maintain office systems and protocols
Contribute to ordering supplies and keeping an inventory.

Experience
Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
Familiarity with dental software Akitu One is highly desirable
Knowledge of implants, orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD technology enhances candidacy
Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment is advantageous
Certification in dental assisting or related training programs is a plus
Candidate must hold CPR
Experience with CBCT is an asset but not mandatory
Experience with Itero is an asset but not mandatory
