Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Dental Assistant. We are a privately owned small dental practice in Red Deer with a supportive professional team. The ideal candidate will be motivated to join us in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience. Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures - including restorative treatment, crowns, root canal therapy minor oral surgery and implant therapy.
Proficient with taking dental radiographs (X-rays and CBCT) as required.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans using dental software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure patient comfort and understanding during visits.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory.
Support front desk operations as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients, scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Requirements
Some evenings and weekends are required.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software systems
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
