Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced, technologically advanced setting. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient interactions, and uphold the highest standards of infection prevention and clinical confidentiality.
Duties
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs, including X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and image quality.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide patient management support by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection prevention management policies.
Assist with dental instrument processing, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques to uphold clinical safety standards.
Requirements
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience in general dentistry with additional experience in pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management systems.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques and medical imaging technology including 3D scanners.
Familiarity with infection control practices, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
Strong understanding of dental equipment operation and maintenance.
Excellent communication skills combined with attention to detail and clinical confidentiality policies.
