Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient office environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting with a focus on delivering exceptional dental care. Prior experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix is preferred, along with familiarity in orthodontics, pediatrics, and dental assisting procedures.
Education
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Duties
Prepare patients for dental examinations
Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
Perform intra-oral duties
Take and develop X-rays
Record dental procedures performed on patients
Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
CredentialsCertificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Registration with provincial or territorial authorities
Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board
