Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental practitioners in providing comprehensive oral health services. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for procedures.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and infection prevention management policies.
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient evaluations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Maintain infection control standards through proper dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare infection prevention guidelines.
Assist with dental equipment maintenance, including operation of the dental x-ray machine to ensure optimal performance.
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with exposure to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or similar specialties.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft for efficient medical documentation and record keeping.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security within healthcare settings.
Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures, sterilization protocols, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry procedures, and clinical confidentiality policies.
Ability to perform medical imaging accurately while maintaining safety standards for both patients and staff.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration with the dental team.
