Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice. As an energetic and dedicated professional, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient comfort. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment for each patient
Assist dentist during various procedures, including restorative, preventative and pediatric treatments
Take and develop digital dental radiographs (X-rays), utilizing Dentrix and Dexis.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation and seamless workflow
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and handling inquiries
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards to protect patients and staff at all times
Qualifications
Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification in accordance with provincial regulations
Proven experience with dental assisting procedures, including taking X-rays and preparing treatment areas
Familiarity with dental practice software such as Dentrix is an asset, but would train the right candidate.
Knowledge of general and pediatric dentistry is a plus, demonstrating versatility across specialties
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient communication
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
