Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and import dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and record medical documentation
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Assist with dental lab tasks such as pouring models and fabricating whitening trays and removable case products. Entering cases in software.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records
- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
-Willing to help front desk when asked
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software
- Experience with medical imaging and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is a plus
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and patient assessment techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Certifications recommended, but not required and can be earned during employment.
