Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental team, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Assisting and patient monitoring during sedation treatments
Take digital radiographs
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Manage patient records accurately using Gold dental software
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards
Support front desk staff with administrative duties related to patient check-in/out when necessary
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment at all times
Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Alberta
Proven experience in dental assisting, preferably with knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Proficiency with dental management software including Gold is highly desirable
Familiarity with Itero for digital scanning
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
