Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate is confident working in a busy dental office, understands the importance of excellent patient care, and can efficiently manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
Position Requirements
RDA license required
Previous dental assisting experience required
Dentrix experience required
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and clinical workflows
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, dependable, punctual, and organized
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Comfortable assisting with multiple procedures and maintaining an efficient schedule
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with the doctor, hygienists, front office, and other team members
Responsibilities
The RDA will be responsible for providing excellent chairside assistance and helping ensure the clinical side of the office runs smoothly. Responsibilities include:
Assisting the doctor during restorative, crown, bridge, endodontic, surgical, and other dental procedures
Preparing and breaking down operatories efficiently
Taking and properly documenting digital X-rays and diagnostic images
Maintaining accurate patient charts and clinical documentation in Dentrix
Reviewing and documenting medical and dental histories
Preparing instruments, materials, and supplies for scheduled procedures
Maintaining proper sterilization and infection-control procedures
Assisting with impressions, temporary restorations, crowns, bridges, and other laboratory procedures as needed
Taking accurate clinical notes and ensuring treatment and procedures are properly documented
Keeping operatories clean, organized, and fully stocked
Anticipating the doctor's needs during procedures
Helping maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day
Communicating important patient or clinical information to the doctor and team
Following office protocols and maintaining OSHA and infection-control standards
Providing patients with a professional, welcoming, and comfortable experience

We need someone who can keep up with a busy schedule without sacrificing quality of care. Our ideal RDA is someone who is proactive, organized, and able to see what needs to be done without always being asked.
You should be comfortable multitasking, switching between different responsibilities, staying organized, and working as part of a team. Attention to detail is extremely important, especially when it comes to X-rays, charting, treatment documentation, and clinical notes.
Dentrix experience is a must. Candidates should be comfortable navigating patient charts, reviewing treatment, entering clinical information, and working within the Dentrix system.
