Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! As an RDA, you will support dentists by providing chairside assistance, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management policies
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in line with dental x-ray standards
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and hygiene instructions while demonstrating excellent patient management skills
Requirements
Valid Registered Dental Assistant license or certification in accordance with state or regional regulations
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is a plus
Strong understanding of infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards
Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners effectively and safely
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children preferred
Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals
