Job Description
This part-time position is for an experienced assistant with administration experience who enjoys "floating" between reception and the operatory as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during endodontic and surgery procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays (mid treatment periapicals also)
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
-Check patients in and out as needed
Skills:
Strong communications skills (written and verbal) will be required as well as attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Our team is supportive and interactive so the right candidate needs to work well in a team environment and enjoy collaborating with their teammates. Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is critical.
As a dental assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist in providing quality dental care to patients. Any knowledge of endodontics will be valuable in assisting with procedures. You will be expected to answer patient questions about root canal procedures and surgery. Strong organizational skills are also important for managing appointment schedules and maintaining accurate patient records. We are completely paperless so strong computer skills will be required.
