Overview
Rock Star Registered Dental assistant needed for locally owned Pediatric Dental office. We are looking for the perfect team player to join our family at our office. If you are an energetic and caring individual who thrives in an environment where growth and improvement are encouraged this could be your dream job. Dental experience of at least 2 years is required to apply for this position. The ideal candidate will be be assisting the dentist and orthodontist(training is provided) as needed. Our office environment is extremely UPBEAT, our patients are our focus and we strive to be the best pediatric dental office in Bastrop area!
Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including pediatric dentistry, ortho, and cleanings
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment complies with infection prevention management standards
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring accuracy while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort
Manage dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following strict infection control protocols
Record detailed medical documentation and maintain accurate medical records
Monitor vital signs and assist with patient intake procedures, including assessing medical history and ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are followed
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in the applicable region
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry preferred
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
Skilled in dental x-ray techniques and familiar with 3D scanner technology for advanced imaging needs
Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and dental sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety
Ability to perform dental assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of clinical confidentiality and infection control compliance
