Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on general dentistry, including orthodontics. Prior experience with dental software such as Cleardent is highly valued, along with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and medical terminology.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols
Take and develop dental radiographs (CAD experience is a plus)
Manage patient records accurately using dental software
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort
Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and updating patient information
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
Support orthodontic procedures as needed, including appliance adjustments and patient education
Skills
Certified as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure
Proficiency in dental software platforms such Cleardent
Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control practices
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
Familiarity with CAD for digital impressions or restorations is advantageous
Experience working as a dental receptionist or in customer service within a healthcare setting is a plus
