Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice. Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; document treatment details accurately and efficiently.
Perform vital signs assessments and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and dental terminology to foster understanding and compliance.
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by state law.
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry settings is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, specialists in prosthodontics or endodontics, and patients of all ages.
