Job Description
Job Summary
Converse Family Dentistry – Cosmetic & Dental Implants is seeking an experienced Dental Back Office Assistant to join our clinical team. This is a hands-on chairside role in a practice that performs a wide range of procedures — from routine restorative care to cosmetic treatments and implant placements. We need a skilled, efficient, and compassionate assistant who takes pride in clinical excellence and keeping the day moving seamlessly.
Duties
Provide chairside assistance for restorative, cosmetic, implant, and surgical procedures
Seat patients, review medical histories, take vital signs, and ensure patient comfort throughout treatment
Prepare, sterilize, and maintain all dental instruments and equipment per OSHA and infection control standards
Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos as directed by the provider
Mix and prepare materials (composites, cements, impressions) with precision and efficiency
Assist with implant and surgical setups and case presentation support
Maintain clean, stocked, and well-organized operatories
Document clinical notes accurately in the practice management system
Assist with patient education on post-operative care and home hygiene instructions
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience required; cosmetic or implant experience strongly preferred
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) a plus
Radiation safety certification required (Texas state law)
Proficiency with digital radiography, intraoral cameras, and dental software
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
