Job Overview MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental practitioners. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a quality centered, friendly environment, utilizing your clinical skills and dental knowledge to improve patient outcomes. As an RDA/DA, you will assist with chairside procedures, manage patient records, and ensure infection control protocols are meticulously followed. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
Back floor management is a plus
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in medical documentation.
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging or assessments as needed for pediatric or medically compromised patients.
Maintain a clean and aseptic environment by following infection control protocols and proper sterilization procedures.
Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow smoothly.
Utilize knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and diagnoses.
Operate advanced equipment such as 3D scanners when required for comprehensive diagnostics or treatment planning.
Qualifications
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics preferred.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and dental assisting procedures.
Knowledge of dental radiography including X-ray techniques and safety protocols.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical imaging when necessary.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.
