Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant / Dental Office Front Desk professional to join our vibrant dental team. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while managing front office operations seamlessly. As a key member of our practice, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth clinical workflows, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical and administrative excellence. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us deliver outstanding dental services in a friendly, efficient manner.
Duties
Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including chairside support, dental instrument processing, and maintaining aseptic technique to ensure infection prevention.
Take and develop dental X-rays, including panoramic, adhering to all safety protocols and radiation guidelines.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prepare treatment rooms with dental equipment, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control standards following dental sterilization procedures.
Greet patients warmly at the front desk, verify insurance information, schedule appointments using patient management software, and handle patient inquiries efficiently.
Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow during procedures like oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential with active state licensure.
Proven experience in dental assisting with knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment, and clinical procedures.
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft
Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization techniques, and dental x-ray safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; ability to manage patient flow efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of medical documentation, medical coding, and healthcare infection control policies is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry workflows.
