Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. As an integral part of our practice, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Your role will involve assisting with procedures across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics utilizing your knowledge of dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control protocols. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up dental materials in accordance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage electronic medical records using Open dental to document treatment details accurately and efficiently.
Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures; provide post-treatment instructions clearly.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient flow seamlessly.
Maintain clinical supplies inventory, ensure proper sterilization of tools, and uphold infection control protocols to sustain a safe environment for staff and patients.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices related to dental records.
Hands-on experience with EMR systems ;
Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique to optimize procedure efficiency.
Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately; experience with Prime scan or medical imaging devices is advantageous.
Strong understanding of infection control standards, HIPAA compliance, and sterilization procedures within a pediatric dentistry or general practice environment.
