Job Description

NOW HIRING: REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT
Dentistry can be intimidating and the Registered Dental Assistant is often the first person who truly puts a patient at ease. At Fort McMurray Dental, that role is not just important. It is everything.

We are growing and you have the opportunity to join a team of passionate, skilled professionals who share our belief that every patient deserves to feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for. We are looking for a Registered Dental Assistant ready to be part of something exceptional.

Why Fort McMurray Dental?

Fort McMurray Dental was built from a simple but powerful belief: too many people avoid the dentist because of fear, and that fear can be eliminated by the right environment and the right people.

Oral health shapes a person's confidence, their quality of life, and their long-term wellbeing. We take that seriously, and we are looking for an RDA who does too.

The Opportunity
Chair-side assisting across a broad range of general and specialty procedures including restorations, implants, oral surgery, and full-mouth rehabilitation
Preparing, maintaining, and sterilizing instruments and operatories with precision and care
Taking and processing digital radiographs to the highest standard
Supporting IV sedation cases and monitoring patient comfort throughout procedures
Building genuine rapport with patients — answering questions and explaining next steps, patient education, and helping reduce dental anxiety
Collaborating directly with associate dentists and hygienists as a fully integrated clinical team member
Contributing to inventory management, instrument tracking, and clinic readiness
What You Bring
Current registration with the Alberta Dental Association and College (ADA&C) as a Level II Dental Assistant
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on clinical experience preferred
Experience assisting with implant and surgical procedures is an asset
Familiarity with digital radiography and practice management software (Dentrix is an asset)
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to anticipate the needs of both the dentist and the patient
A warm, empathetic chairside manner — composure and kindness under pressure
What We Offer You
Full-time, permanent employment with an amazing team
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
Comprehensive health and dental benefits package
Continuing education support and professional development funding
Mentorship and collaboration from a highly skilled clinical team
Uniform allowance
Performance bonuses and opportunities for advancement as the clinic grows
A workplace culture grounded in kindness, respect, and clinical excellence
At Fort McMurray Dental, we understand that the patient experience is shaped by far more than clinical skill, it is shaped by the people who show up every day with intention, compassion, and pride in their work.

If that sounds like you, we would love to meet you. Come build something meaningful with us.
