Job Description

Dental Assistant / EFDA — Build a Career, Not Just a Job
Are you looking for more than a job?

Are you the kind of person who wants to grow, learn, take on more responsibility, and build a career you can be proud of?

If so, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Our growing pediatric dental practice in Franklin, TN is looking for an enthusiastic Dental Assistant / EFDA who wants to become an important part of our team—not someone who is simply looking for their next job.

We believe the right person can become an incredible dental professional when they're given the training, mentorship, encouragement, and opportunity to grow.

If you love working with children, enjoy being part of a great team, and want to see where your career can take you, we want to meet you.

This Is More Than a Dental Assistant Position
We're looking for someone who sees themselves building a long-term career in dentistry.

Someone who wants to:
Learn more and continually improve
Become highly skilled and confident clinically
Take on greater responsibility as they grow
Work toward EFDA responsibilities and expanded skills
Learn from experienced doctors and teammates
Become someone our patients, parents, and team can depend on
Grow into future opportunities within our practice
We don't want to simply hire you. We want to invest in you.

If you're motivated, coachable, dependable, and willing to work hard, we're willing to help you develop the skills to take your career to the next level.

Make a Difference Every Day
Pediatric dentistry is about more than teeth.

You'll help children feel comfortable at the dentist, overcome fear, build confidence, and develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

Some days you'll be assisting the doctor. Other days you'll be encouraging a nervous child, educating a parent, solving a problem, or celebrating a child's first great dental visit.

The work matters—and you'll see the difference you make every day.

Why You'll Love Being Part of Our Team
A Career Path
We want our best team members to grow. Training, mentorship, continuing education, and opportunities to expand your clinical skills are all part of our commitment to your development.

A Team That Has Your Back
We believe great dentistry happens when great people work together. We support each other, communicate, and celebrate one another's successes.

A Fun, Positive Environment
Kids bring energy, personality, and plenty of unexpected moments to our day. We work hard, but we also have fun doing it.

Purposeful Work
You'll have the opportunity to positively impact children and families every single day.

Growth & Advancement
As you develop your skills and demonstrate your potential, we'll look for ways to give you more responsibility and opportunities to grow.

Privately Owned Practice
We're a locally owned pediatric dental practice—not a large corporate organization. We value relationships, teamwork, quality care, and creating a place where great people want to stay.

What You'll Do
As a member of our clinical team, you'll help provide an exceptional experience for our young patients while supporting the doctor and the rest of the team.

Your responsibilities may include:
Assisting the doctor during pediatric dental procedures
Preparing and disinfecting treatment rooms
Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards
Taking dental radiographs (X-rays)
Helping children feel comfortable and confident
Educating children and parents about oral health and home care
Supporting efficient clinical flow
Providing excellent patient care
Performing EFDA duties for qualified candidates
Continually developing your clinical knowledge and skills
Who We're Looking For
We care about who you are and who you want to become, not just what's already on your resume.

You may be a great fit if you are:
Positive, energetic, and encouraging
Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children
Dependable and responsible
A strong communicator
A team player who wants to contribute
Coachable and eager to learn
Proud of doing things well
Comfortable receiving feedback and using it to improve
Interested in building a long-term career in dentistry
Dental Assistant experience is preferred. EFDA certification is a plus.

But here's what matters most:
We can teach skills. We can provide training. What we can't teach is the desire to grow, a great attitude, work ethic, and the genuine desire to make a difference.

Who Should Apply?

If you're looking for a place to simply work your hours and go home, this probably isn't the opportunity for you.

But...

If you want to become really good at what you do...

If you want people to invest in your growth...

If you want to be part of a team that genuinely cares about one another...

If you want to work with children and make a difference in their lives...

And if you're excited about where a career in pediatric dentistry could take you...

We want to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to join a growing practice, develop your skills, take on new challenges, and build something long-term.

Don't just look for your next job. Find the place where you can build your career.

Apply today and let's talk about your future with our team.
