Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management and aseptic technique standards.

Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Take high-quality dental x-rays, including dental radiographs and 3D scans, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, dental terminology, vital signs, and medical imaging results.

Educate patients on oral health practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans while demonstrating excellent patient care skills.

Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures to maintain clinic hygiene standards and prevent healthcare-associated infections.

Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and handling administrative tasks efficiently.

Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and clinical workflows.

Proficiency in dental assisting tools including dental equipment, X-ray machines, and 3D scanners.

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Epic for medical documentation and records management.

Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control policies.

Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards.

Knowledge of dental terminology related to various specialties such as endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide outstanding patient care.

Certification in X-ray safety and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance is required.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
