Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and image quality for accurate diagnosis.
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems with Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records with accuracy.
Perform vital signs assessments and document medical information relevant to patient health history.
Assist with medical imaging procedures and understand basic anatomy knowledge to support comprehensive patient care.
Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and reduce procedure times.
Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology, dental coding, and documentation standards for accurate record keeping.
Uphold infection control protocols through proper sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Experience with dental radiography including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner operation.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children in a clinical setting.
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures across multiple specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
Excellent organizational skills for managing medical documentation, records, and scheduling tasks seamlessly.
Effective communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages as well as team members like dental receptionists or other clinical staff.
