Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time/Part-Time Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of our practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment with a focus on comprehensive dental services.The successful applicant will possess strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, medical terminology, and experience with dental software systems such as ClearDent. This position is paid and suitable for candidates committed to professional growth in the dental field.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorative, and pediatric treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) accurately using CAD technology when applicable
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as ClearDent
Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during visits
Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and managing insurance documentation
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
Support with taking impressions, fabricating appliances, or assisting with adjustments as needed
Experience
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure required
Prior experience working in a dental setting
Proficiency with dental management software such as ClearDent is preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience with for digital impressions or appliance fabrication is a plus
Background in dental assisting combined with experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous
